Pain

OK's so there are two sides to Dora, the sweet, I love everythanng kinda girl, and there's the snarky, awkward, Dora. This is a case in which you will see the snarky, awkward me.

I gots a pain in my toof. Yay for that last wisdom tooth coming in. Arggggg.

But, speaking of Teef, I've been obsessed with this blog forever. It is incredibly cute, funny and inventive, and I wish these little guys were real. Check it out.

MY MILK TOOF

In other news, work is incredibly boring and I've become lazy with my piano practicing. I need an old nun with a stick to whack me and make me do it. I'd hate it, but I'd do it. Maybe I should stick this picture above my piano...

My brother (the older one) is coming into town this weekend, and then the day after he leaves, another friend of ours is coming to stay with us. Woot! Busy week for sure! Trying to get the house clean and laundry done. Lots of blankets and towels will be needed...

I'm still obsessing over Spring. Really can't wait until it is warm outside and not raining. But then again... it's Spring. It's gonna rain. Get over it Dora. *sigh

Also, news flash Dora: No one wants to hear you complain about random stuff that has nothing to do with them. Your blog is called "Beauty in Small Things," not "Waaaaa wa waaaaa waaa."

That is all for now. Like I said, I'm a lazy blogger. Don't expect no posts every day... girrrrl. Or... booooy.

TGIF

Hey y'all!

Looks like this month will be busy, getting more and more job offers. So I've got to work things out and figure out what I can and can't do! I love it!

Today was a beautiful, sunny day in Asheville and it's making me more and more anxious for Spring. This winter's been an especially hard one, in more ways then one, so I'm looking forward to warm weather and starting fresh. I'm looking forward to spending LOTS of time outside, as last summer I didn't spend nearly enough. After this winter I am especially regretting it!

So here's a mashup of stuff that I'm looking forward to seeing/doing/using:

Flowers! I'm determined to grow some stuff this year, so I can't wait until it's warm enough...

These bad boys. I've been putting off buying some for so long, but I will be using them LOTS this year. Plus I already tried them on, did research and these Merrells rock - plus their waterproof. Can't wait to go hiking and camping!

Getting to wear stuff like this! Oh, how I love skirts, shorts, soft, and breezy outfits that come with Spring.

From Free People *I'm obsessed

Everything from the Anthropologie Spring collection!
Anthropologie

I could go on and on with this part but I'll spare you. ;-)

Downtown Asheville in the Spring is really something to be experienced.

Working out outside! Bah, I can't wait to run outside and not feel like my lungs are frozen after I do so...

Most of all, I'm looking forward to the smell of spring, and being able to walk outside without flinching to the cold and wind!

So so ready!!

Snow day!!!

So they called for 1-2" of snow... We're at about 4" and it doesn't look like it's letting up at all... This is what it looks like outside my porch:

Now normally we can see Mt. Pisgah from the house but not today. That ain't happenin'. Brett got off work early at 12 and I tried to make it to the bank today but ended up turning around and going home. Brett drove us in his new AWD. Yay!!

So I'm still loving my new keyboard and I play it everyday. I'm getting better again (Thank God) but I still sorta suck. lol. It'll get better. For now I'm just relearning my old favorites, practicing arpeggios and chords, and fingerings. Hopefully I'll get better than I was before, and it helps a lot to have a keyboard accessible at all times... Definitely helps! And the fact that no keys stick and that it will always be in tune helps too!

Sorry that's it for now... I'm a lazy blogger. ;-)
